Well, no more worries, because today there are more than ever sunless tanning products that look extremely natural. Here’s how sunless tanners work. The active ingredient is typically dihydroxyacetone (DHA), which reacts with amino acids on the outermost top layer of skin to produce a tan color without the sun. Look for DHA on the label.

The key to getting a beautiful bronzed look is to find the right sunless tanning product that is best for your particular skin type . One might work great for someone else but may make someone else look orange. You should always try out the product on a small portion of skin and see how it looks before using it all over. Also, try not to use a new

sunless tanner right before a big event. That’s just asking for trouble.

There are different ways to get a sunless tan. You can go to a salon and get a spray tan done. They are a bit more expensive but usually worth the cash. Spray tans look very real, and you can go to any shade you want. If you have a big event coming up, this is the option to go for. It’s a guarantee, not a trial and error situation. Most people who are going to go the sunless tanning route will do it themselves, which is great. You will definitely save some money that way. Lotions and sprays work the best. Like I have said in past posts, good moisturizing is the key to a great tan. If your skin is dry or flaky your tan is going to look horrible, if you can even acquire a tan at all. So if your going to use a moisturizer then why not use a really good one that smells awesome too.

Aside from all that, after tan moisturizers really do work. I have noticed an extremely big difference in the length of my tan. I usually get really bored and sick of tanning after some time and I will lay off for a bit. Usually my tan would fade dramatically. Since I have been using a tan extender I have noticed my tan getting deeper and darker and also, when I don’t go tanning for a few days my tan still sticks around.

I realize that tanning packages and tanning lotions can get fairly expensive and to add another lotion to the mix can get a bit expensive. My best advice would be to look for a tan extender on Ebay or Amazon. They are huge and well known companies that can be trusted and you will usually get a better price than if you would go to your local tanning salon. My favorite is a brand called Hempz. Another good moisturizer is Designer Skin Undercover Angel. These both have Hemp seed oil in them which does wonders for your skin and for reversing the aging affects of tanning.

Buying tanning lotion online is a great way to buy tanning lotions. It is my favorite way for a number of reasons. You can usually get it at the cheapest possible price and you don’t even have to leave your home. How much better can it get? Just like purchasing anything online, there are normal precautions that you should take. Follow the tips below and you will be fine.

1) Only buy tanning lotion from places that are popular and well known. It is recommended that you only shop at places that you are familiar with and trust. Great examples are Amazon and Ebay.

2) Make sure the seller is creditable. When purchasing from sites such as Ebay you need to look at who is selling you the tanning product. Check out the seller’s feedback to make sure is at least 95% positive. If the seller has a great feedback you know this person is a good candidate to purchase tanning lotion from.

Check to makes sure you are buying an actual bottle of tanning lotion. It is easy to mistake a sample pack for a regular size bottle. Check out the return process as well, or if the seller even offers one.

4) Look at the shipping price. The shipping price will vary from seller to seller, so make sure you check this out before you purchase or bid on an item. Lots of sellers offer free shipping while others might charge a larger amount. Always calculate the shipping price in addition to the purchase price before bidding or purchasing an item.

5) Look at the standard shipping time or method. Ground mail can take around two weeks. What tanning lotion can make you tan in minutes?

I would say the only type of tanning lotion that has the ability to make you tan in minutes would be a bronzer. Bronzers can do this because they have something in them called dha, which actually dyes your skin, much like a sunless tanner does but in a much, more natural way.  In other words, you can’t even tell that that’s what it’s doing, no streaks or anything like that. Just a super bronze, natural looking tan.

Can you use a bronzer tanning lotion on your face?

Well, it is not advised to do so but I, myself do it. I always make sure that I have a lot of experience with my bronzer before I put it on my face. For example, I will use it a few times before I ever think of putting it on my face. Like I said though, it is usually not advised to do so. They actually make special tanning lotions designed specially for your face. Those would probably always be the better choice but I know that everyone doesn’t have the luxury of being able to get a special tanning lotion just for their face. I think that using a bronzer on your face is perfectly fine, as long as you know what it does to your skin.

If you don’t have tanning lotion should you just use regular lotion?

Yes, any lotion is better than absolutely nothing. Although I do not advise this. Tanning lotions are all special, very carefully made concoctions that really do increase the amount and the quality of your tan, an enormous extent. So I would say if you absolutely don’t have anything at all, then yes use a regular lotion. If money is the reason that you don’t have any tanning lotion then the next best thing would be to go to Wal-Mart and pick up a bottle of indoor tanning lotion for around $5. That would be even better than regular lotion but about the same price.

If I want a dark tan, what kind of lotion do I use?

This is tricky because it all depends on your skin type and whether or not you already have a base tan. If you don’t have a base tan, I would say start out with a bronzer and then after you acquire a base tan you can use a tingle product along with your bronzer, or find a lotion that has both in it. Now, if you are light skinned, I would say definitely a bronzer is your best friend, especially when you first start tanning. After awhile you can try a bit of a tingler but I would test it on a small portion of skin and if you are severely fair complected with red hair or freckles, you may want to stay away from tinglers all together.

Tanning lotion for pale people?

I guess I kind of answered that in the question above. Like I said bronzers are great for very fair complexions. Myself being a very pale skinned person, I know what it is like. My skin tends to get a reddish color instead of a deep brown. That is why bronzers are so good for us because they have that bronzing agent in them. On top of that I like to use a regular lotion, after tanning, that has a little bit of a sunless tanner in it. A good example of this is Jergens Natural Glow. It works great to give you that little extra bronze and you can put it in trouble areas that don’t tan as well, to make that part of the skin blend in with the darker skin. You also get the moisturizing, which is a must for a good tan. If you don’t have moisturized skin, you probably aren’t going to get a nice brown tan. So moisturize as much as possible.

Is it okay to use normal tanning lotion on your face?

Tinglers, no, never use them on your face. For everything else, I would say yes, just make sure you have experience with the tanning lotion before you go putting it on your face. Go back and read question 2 for more on this.

Why can’t you use outdoor tanning lotion in tanning beds?

you can’t use outdoor lotions in tanning beds because the ingredients are hard on the acrylic in the bed. Indoor tanning lotions can be used outdoors though and do work very well.

Are tanning lotions just moisturizer?

No!!! There are many differences and tanning lotion is definitely worth it to buy, believe me!
